Participation Criteria

U.S. citizenship
Be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of the pageant
Have at least one parent of South Sudan descent
Be in good physical and mental health Be able to commit the necessary time and
Residency within the United State Must not be married, pregnant, or have children during the time of the competition

Code of Conduct, Rules, and Disciplinary Policy

The Miss & Mr. South Sudan Pageant Organization upholds the highest standards of leadership, integrity, and community representation. All contestants and titleholders are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the pageant, the South Sudanese community, and the responsibilities associated with the title.

All participants must adhere to the following Code of Conduct and Rules throughout the duration of the competition and, if crowned, during their entire tenure.

Plagiarism or Misrepresentation

Providing false information, misleading statements, or plagiarized materials in order to gain an unfair advantage in the competition.

Failure to Fulfill Pageant Duties

Contestants or titleholders who refuse to participate in scheduled events, required activities, or fail to cooperate with the pageant organization may face disciplinary action.

Public Intoxication

Titleholders and contestants must avoid public intoxication or behavior involving substance abuse that reflects negatively on the organization.

Bullying or Harassment

The Miss & Mr. South Sudan Organization maintains zero tolerance for bullying, harassment, intimidation, or any form of abusive behavior.

Due Process and Fair Review

The Miss & Mr. South Sudan Pageant Organization is committed to fairness and transparency.

Before any final decision is made:

1- The contestant or titleholder will be notified of the alleged violation.

2- They will be given an opportunity to present their explanation or defense before the pageant board.

3- The board of directors will review the matter and determine the appropriate course of action.

Responsibilities and Duties of Titleholders

Contestants and titleholders are expected to serve as leaders and role models within the community. Their responsibilities include:
Engaging with the community during times of need or difficulty

Developing programs that positively impact youth development

Organizing or participating in panel discussions that empower young people

Attending and representing the organization at least one-third (1/3) of community events and activities

Promoting peace, unity, and community growth

Advocating for at least one key community issue, such as:

1- Child welfare and protection
2- Substance abuse prevention
3- Mental health awareness
4- Domestic or spousal abuse awareness
5- Youth empowerment initiatives
6- Job placement and workforce development
6- Continuing education opportunities

Age Eligibility Violations

Any contestant found to have misrepresented their age or who does not meet the pageant’s age requirements may be disqualified or stripped of their title.

Public Indecency or Inappropriate Content

Sharing or distributing nude or sexually explicit images or engaging in public indecent exposure that may damage the reputation of the pageant.

Physical Violence

Engaging in physical altercations or violence in public or private settings is strictly prohibited.

Disciplinary Actions and Penalties

Failure to comply with the rules outlined above may result in one or more of the following actions:

1- Formal warning
2- Probationary status
3- Disqualification from the competition
4- Removal or forfeiture of title

If a contestant or titleholder is removed from the competition or stripped of their title, they may be required to:

1- Immediately surrender their crown, title, and official position

2- Forfeit up to fifty percent (50%) of any winnings, which may be donated to a designated nonprofit or community development program selected by the organization.

Probation and Opportunity for Redemption

The organization recognizes that individuals may make honest mistakes.
In certain circumstances, the board may place a contestant or titleholder on probation, allowing them an opportunity to demonstrate improved conduct and continue serving the community.
However, if a contestant or titleholder violates probation or commits an additional act of misconduct, they will be immediately removed and stripped of their title without exception.

Commitment to Leadership

All participants are expected to uphold the honor, dignity, and leadership standards of the Miss & Mr. South Sudan Pageant at all times.
By participating in the pageant, contestants acknowledge that they understand and agree to follow these rules and responsibilities

Application Process

A recent professional photograph must be submitted with the application.

All entry fees are non-refundable, regardless of withdrawal or disqualification
